POP-UP SUPPER CLUB
Join us for evening of Ugang-Banese cooking! A fusion of Ugandan and Lebanese cooking plus a Uganglish making and creating experience.
We all like East African food.
We all like Middle Eastern food.
Imagine a fusion of the two together… Tastebud-gasm!
This month, AFRORETRO are hosting a Ugang-Banese Pop-Up Supperclub as part of their month-long residency with Yinka Shonibare's Guest Projects.
Juliana Yazbeck, a Lebanese-American, food-blogger, cook and all-round food enthusiast, will be whizzing together a mouth-watering three-course menu of Ugandan-Lebanese fusion dishes. Thanks to the culinary wisdom of Mama Joy Bafumba, Juliana has been taking crash-courses in traditional Ugandan cooking for the past month. Armed with her own mother’s (and grandmother’s) cooking knowledge, Mama Joy’s expertise and her own crazy love of food, Juliana’s menu is full of flavour, culture and love.
