MAKING UNCOVERED

AFRORETRO are super proud to be part of Making Uncovered 2014.

Making Uncovered is a free festival of making, art and craft. With demonstrations, workshops, discussions, an amazing array of artisan items on sale plus a party with live music at end of the day!

From 11am-6pm we'll be holding drop-in workshops where you can weave yourself a greeting card, badge or keyring using an array of African fabrics and British and Ugandan weaving techniques.

At 12pm & 4pm we'll  be holding our UpCycle Your Life workshops where you can UpCycle an old t-shirt into a fabulous circular scarf. Then Embellish it with African fabrics, beads and Macrame knotting. Book in advance as places are limited to 5 attendees.

Throughout the day we will of course be selling our range of UpCycled fashion, accessories, jewellery and making kits.

The event is wrapping up with a party from 7pm with the wonderful a-cappella Pop-Up Choir and live sets from the soulful A P Clarke and Gaia Casagrande.

Making Uncovered is the opening event for Design Week Brixton and part of the London Design Festival.
